When you book

We store what's in the booking form:

• First name, last name, email address
• Phone number and address, if you provide them
• Arrival and departure dates, chosen accommodation and extras
• Number of people and the age of accompanying children — we need this because the per-person price is graduated by age. We don't ask for the children's names.
• Your message to us, if you write one

We need this information to carry out the booking and send you the confirmation. It won't work without it.

Who else sees the data

• The server: the website and the database run at Infomaniak Network SA, Genf (Schweiz).
• Email delivery: we send confirmations über den Mailserver von Infomaniak (Schweiz).
• The municipality: Für die Kurtaxe melden wir der Gemeinde nur Zahlen — wie viele Personen wie viele Nächte geblieben sind. Namen und Adressen geben wir dabei nicht weiter.

We don't sell data and don't pass it to anyone for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep bookings for 10 years — that's how long the law requires for business records. After that we delete them.

When you just visit the website

The server records which pages are called up — that's needed to run the site and can't be switched off. The website also briefly keeps your IP address in memory to detect when someone sends a great many requests in a short time. This count is forgotten after at most an hour and stored nowhere.

Visitor statistics

We count for ourselves which pages are read, where visitors find their way to us, and whether the price calculator and booking work. The counter is part of this website and runs at Infomaniak Network SA, Genf (Schweiz) — the same machine as the site itself. No third-party service is involved, and the figures don't leave our house.

• The statistics set no cookies and don't recognise you again.
• Your IP address is never stored. To estimate visitors, it's combined with a server secret into a daily number that can't be reversed and becomes worthless at midnight.
• If your browser has Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control switched on, we don't count your visit at all.
• Page views and clicks are counted — never what you type into forms. From addresses with a booking number, the number is removed before storing.
• The figures are deleted after about 13 months — long enough to compare one summer with the last, and no longer.

Cookies and local storage

For guests, this website sets no cookies — not even the visitor statistics. There's therefore no cookie banner either — we have nothing to ask you about.

There's a cookie only for the internal area: staff who log in stay logged in.

The Murmeli at the bottom left remembers in your browser's storage how often you've been here and whether you've clicked it away. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

Your rights

You can find out at any time what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Write to info@campingtrin.ch. We reply as fast as we can; in season it may take a few days.

Bookings we must keep for legal reasons can't be deleted before the deadline. This concerns only the booking itself, not your message to us.
